Melody is an artist, teacher and coach. She works with individuals and groups to develop their creative potential and to lead and live authentically. Her work results in innovative, creative and collaborative leaders and teams. Her integration of leadership, psychology, personality theory and somatic awareness is truly groundbreaking in leadership development.
Melody has an extensive background in the creative process the steps that lead to true innovation. Her work as a professor in the fine arts focused on integrating across disciplines to creatively express new ideas, inspire people to grow and develop and to produce innovative results. Building from a deep understanding of core behavioral patterns that hinder one’s capacity to create and lead, Melody guides clients to make different choices and to transform their visions into creative and realized excellence. Melody’s work goes beyond a change in thinking patterns to a deeper change in embodied actions. She has taught and coached business leaders, top athletes, dancers, actors and musicians – all toward better performance.
She is certified as an Alexander Technique Teacher (used in performance arts, public speaking, presentation, athletics, etc.), Gestalt Therapy, Movement Analysis and has a Master of Fine Arts in Performance. Her advanced studies include Arizona State University (MFA), the University of Washington (CMA), Pennsylvania Gestalt Therapy Center and Philadelphia School for the Alexander Technique.
